When i recive a message it keeps showing some of the text my friends have written on the main screen. I know the the k800i you could change this so it just showed the name of the sender and the date. How do i change it to these setting on the k850i?

Thanks

Actually i just tried it and its still not working?

when i recive a message i just want it to say the name of the sender and the date. instead it is showing the senders name and some writing of what they have written, if you know what i mean?

on the k800i u could turn this to name and date but on the k850i i cant find the option?

are you sure you selected pop-up?

I did test it before posting and I just tested again and in pop-up mode all I get is

"Text received from" followed by the name or number and then it prompts "read now?"

no part of the message is displayed at all

I think he may means when he is displaying the Inbox (rather than a txt notification) - it shows two lines for each txt rather than just one saying who sent it. Several people have complained about this (including me) - it seems to be set like that and you don't have the option to configure the view as in the K800.

There's also a prefix code you can enter when composing a text which makes the actual text display immediately on the recipient's handset, rather than the name/number. Not sure if that's what's happening to you though. Are the texts in question all from one particular sender?
