leopard isync for P1i |

I just upgraded to leopard and emailed the SE technical support to ask if leopard is compatible with their isync plugin for P1i. They said that it is not just compatible, but it should also correct any problems with tiger.
I installed the plugin and paired my phone. The P1i can be added to isync, but the sync fails and isync cannot even connect to the phone.
Anyone with better experience? |

UPDATE:
After several attempts that failed, isync finally synced everything.
Great news: All-day events in ical are shown as all-day events on the phone as well! |

is there a new plugin out for leopard? Or are you using the SE 1.07 plugin in leopard? Or is there new native support for the p1i in the leopard iSync? Thanks |

My experience was hassle free, the isync plugin seems to work fine. I installed plugin first, then paired device and it synched with isync perfectly.
So could be setup related problem |

Hi there,
I also have leopard and a P1i. My P1 is not even recognized as a phone by leopard bluetooth. Can you give me the url to download the SE plugin for Leopard? I called SE support in Australia and they told me Apple OS is not supported by SE phones - end of story.
Thanks for anyone who can help. |

Hi there
Does this mean that Leopard will now sync with the P990i as well??!! |

My syncing with Leopard is also completely broken, it used to half work with the sony ericsson plug in 1.07 and 10.4 but now iSync just says it can't sync with the P1i. Why are some reporting this and others that it is actually better? I also get the guff from Sony Ericsson that they don't support the Mac OS even though they wrote the plug in. |

it works for me, what seems to be the problem?
I had my ical and contacts all backed up from tiger and restored once I did a fresh install of leopard.
Then I installeded the SE 1.07 plugin, connected by bluetooth and synced. I also had the fone master-reset (for another issue, not related to leopard) and just put my contacts and cal events back on fresh.
no issues this way, it worked fine. |

isync just says it cannot connect to this device, even though you can see the phone is communicating. I suspect there is a phone firmware issue as some P1i users seem to have a lter firmware (not yet available via SE update service in the UK and they are reporting much improved syncing as well as other improvements. |

Just to report that I installed the latest firmware on the P1 but still no syncing is possible. Might bite the bullet and try a master reset... |

Just a note for info for those who may have had my problem.
Couldn't get my P1 to iSync either with G5 Mac 10.5.1 or 17"Macbook Pro Intel 10.4.11.
Paired OK iSync added device OK all looked good until .... "failed".
What I had done was left the P910i in iSync in case I used it again.
I deleted the P910i from iSync and Voila´ success.
Thanks for the new plugin BTW - most grateful.
Cheers

Two words: Nokia/Mac.
Now you know my pain and why I no longer use SE products. In the mean time go to this site: http://www.feisar.com/ or send a PM to joolsg4 and he can give you more info about the current state of plugins and syncing.
Good luck.

I couldn't sync with Leopard. It says:
"[P1i] Connection to the phone failed.
Please make sure that your phone is turned on. If this error occurs again, please restart your phone.
Device “P1i” synchronization failed."
Can anyone help me? |
