If it's not a branded phone, with a new logo, menus, and custom content of that sort - it shouldn't be that long. Think it was a week the last time, or something like that?

Hi guys,

Is there any kind soul here can help point me to a place where I can start learning about flashing my P1i using xs++?

Good if it is for absolute beginners with explanation of what terms like XFS means.

Many thanks.

@ wongster

Its quite simple mate, just follow these steps:

>dwnload XS++ 2.2

>tick smartphone connect and press connect, then do the usual to connect your fone (remove batt, sim, mem card, reinsert battery, hold 'C' and connect)

>once connected go to the GDFS menu on the bottom, and press backup GDFS, once completed dissconnect, remove and reinsert battery, and restart XS++

>connect again and once connected it should show a drop down menu with CDA versions, select P1 WG-1 and press run script, the process should only take a couple of mintues

>lastly, connect into SEUS, it should say that you have a new update available for your fone, start the update, once finished unplug fone and enjoy!

@ mobilemodman

Thank you for taking the time to simplify the unbranding process, after studying your advice with the instructions on the se-nse forum posted link above, I notice that you have left out flashing the main filmware and file system before changing the CDA.

Can I just confirm that after backing up the GDFS all you need to do is change the CDA (in my case to P1 WG-1 as you have suggested). Then just use the SEUS.

No filmware flashing needed?
Many thanks for your help!

Same here, great instructions, thanks!!
Just flashed my P1i and all O2 branding has gone!
Worked a treat, and new firmware went on no problem.
