ok guys...i have been testing the Flash on k850 in pure auto mode, and i didnt get it to work like i wanted all times..(i know, next firmware will improve the flash....i actaully spook with technical support and they confirmed what i just said..so thats nice

BUT..i tested a "new" thing, (some of you guys have certain found that out)...use ISO 100 ON ALL FLASH PICTURES......much MUCH better colors & sharpness.......no i get "all" flash pictures perfect. (before i only got ~1m distance or realy close (Macro) good......thats history now guys.

edit..if you get little to "good" colors, try with ISO 200...works fine to, but i think ISO 100 gives best colors with the Flash..

ISO 100 + flash

Auto + Flash

I have noticed that running in auto with flash in dark conditions are almost impossible. The pics get all black

But if i switch to "Portrait night" the flash works much better and lights up a quite large room.

That's because the phone gets more light in on the picture It uses both the light available in the room and the flash. I always use this setting when taking pics in the dark.

@Pitzon....yep...thats nearly the same "way" (its pich down the light, which result in stronger colors)..like i said before, this new firmware will improve that.

ps..i tested "portrait night"..i think ISO 100 became little better..(but it portrait night worked nice also)..thanks for the advice.

look at this flash picture..taken from ca 2-3 meters..much better then before..(the white color looks "white", not bleached white)

ISO 100 + flash

All i can say is that the K850i camera functions better with manual ISO settings.

I can see better pink in the first picture than to the 2nd one.

not between 100 & 200...but between auto and iso 100 its much better..(special if you take on people or stuff with light colors,(white, yellow, etc).......then it improves a lot

ps..you see that the first pic have better blackness...

I'm disappointed in how difficult it is to make these adjustments, on my K800i it was possible to use the keypad to change some of the setting (Macro/inifinity/Auto-focus - for instance) but not found out a quick way of doing that yet (must read the manual - lol).

I've posted a few pictures here http://picasaweb.google.com/Knuttt/K850i but am not very happy with them yet, it seems as though picture qualilty is not as good as K800i pictures yet but I havent had the best of lighting condition.

Some pictures taken with the K800i:

http://picasaweb.google.com/Knuttt/TheLakes2006

Feel free to comment.

Additionally, why is it so difficult to view the pictures already taken? Again the K800i had two buttons above the screen to jump to the photo album or last shot take and these were really useful.

Anyway, waiting for for the next firmware before I sweat it too much.

This is what is good with the k850i. Manual ISO settings ^^ I also tried flash with ISO settings, and had also found out about this ISO thing. Therefore manual ISO has potential to develop here. I tried with ISO 400... Not recommended.
