Yeah and they are probabaly the worst on the market. God help us all if SE havent improved those on the C902.

wat do you mean...I dont have a single problem with the k850i touch sensitive keys

Neither do I! however some ppl still try to work them like "Buttons" and not a light swipe/deliberate touch! Also not everyones fingers are the same size so ... you can only imagine how fustrated some ppl get lol.

Although the new Touch interface is getting very nice there are STILL some parts that resort to that horrible WM6.1 Pro icon interface. Sad really. The fact that HTC is fixing the GUI on WM more than Microsoft tells me something is wrong at the core ... and registry issues will resolve. Personally WM is not my kind of tea. HTC does a great job at fixing the core WinCE code and making it more intuitive than Microsoft could; yet throughing faster cpu's and higher capacity batteries just to get the same speeds that the core OS should have and intuitive layouts that SHOULD've been resolved after 12yrs of dominance in the PDA realm by Microsoft, STILL doesn't solve the core issue for me. It doesn't matter how many apps you can use or throw at it. If its NOT easy, appealing, and intuitive to use, thn the mass market will not enjoy using it. There is a reason why Symbian commands the lion's share of the smartphone market, why RIM has loyal users that continue to grow exponentially every quarter, and why Apple - dispite Balmer's original chastisizing - outperformed his original estimates. Without HTC, I think Microsofts WM would have been a dead end with (Casio, Toshiba, Compaq, HP - ALL of which dropped out, in that order, before HTC came on the scene and only Toshiba making another try, with Dell trying once again in the last 5yrs).

that's great news on Paris. I can't wait to see the real deal! ... this week should be the week if i'm not mistaken.

Here's hoping Paris will wow the doubters and give those of us who trusted in SE what we've all wanted this whole time!

SE cannot do it alone! The coders need to make quality and useful applications that users can use the hardware to the fullest, yet SE needs to be more co-operating to assist them.

@ Xell, great news! I think we'll see have a platform announcement.

Thanks Xell,
well just the first images shows some intersting info

the patent cover not only a wireless network like WLAN, but also some mobile networks too,
this mean ( if the mobile/WLAN enabler support this ) this enabler can also have HSDPA ( or any other mobile network standard ), and attaching it to the mobile will enable this network type on it

for example, if Xyyy as a mobile support this and it doesn't have HSDPA built-in, and the WLAN enabler had a version with HSDPA, then attaching this WLAN enabler will enable both WLAN & HSDPA to that phone...

just to note, it's just an ability, real product may not have this function, and it may have but mobile phone may not support it

If this is in Sweden, then it is likely that any announcements have a good chance of being UIQ related, methinks. But does this imply announcements will be focused only on the European market?
If not- well its about time!!!
If so- I will feel very sorry for all US resident Esato members, but may attempt to console them by making all future posts from my shiny new Paris

Well, if they are announcing Paris, which is their UIQ flagship, it makes sense they'd do it on their home turf--but I don't think that means it will be a Euro-only device. Well, it WILL be Euro-only in the sense it will be sold through only Euro carriers, but I really really hope SE isn't stupid enough to make it triband GSM like all the others. With this new hardware and software they're supposedly using, it would be a gross under-use of its new power.

I hope it is quadband for your sake . I also would like to have the bragging rights anyway
But if you want convincing:

razec says:
March 28th, 2008 at 3:53 am

You know that since UIQ 3.1 hsdpa/edge integration was already seen, surely UIQ 3.3 will feature both of them + higher capacity storage (like 16Gb) and higher mpix resolution support.

and correction UIQ 3.1 phone like Z8 and the UIQ 3.2 based Z10 all features Quadband/Edge HSDPA in one

I dont think razec has any reason to say this other than opinion, but I sure hope he's right! I'd love 16GB! But anyway, HSDPA should be there, and HSUPA is rumoured. IMO, you can't really have a device which even has HSUPA, but hasn't got quadband.
