The deciding factor for me will the the frequency bands. If it's Euro triband with no "a" version in sight, I'm skipping it and going for the HTC Diamond. And because the Diamond's UI is so amazing, if Paris' UIQ isn't at least somewhat attractive, that will weigh my opinion, too.

I am the same. Unless it has the US frequency bands, I am not getting it either. But I will go with the X1 instead, although for now, I am still thinking which one to get. Both would be nice if my budget permit me to do so, X1 with at&t contract and Paris for open line.

And as much as I like the Diamond, my main reason for still wanting Paris to deliver all it's been rumored to deliver is the exclusivity...Everyone's going to have a Diamond...but very few (especially on this side of the world) will have Paris.

Plus, the battery will be much better.

If Paris delivers...this will be a difficult choice.

Indeed, exclusivity is another reason that I also want Paris(not Paris Hilton since she is not that exclusive). It really is a nice feeling when you pull out a phone rarely seen in US and then the person besides you starts asking because they haven't seen anything like it. If Paris delivers, it is a difficult choice for me too, but its between X1 and P5.

I like Paris but I have never been able to use any qwerty pads. I have always used the stylus for handwriting on my P800, P900 and P910 (all RIP). I wish SE had made the Diamond with UIQ, (my adventures with the HTC Touch and WM ended very promptly), that would be pretty much perfect. Why don't SE try to make a touchscreen slab phone with no keypad? Move into a new market and give it a shot.

I'm loving the G phones more beacuse they will probobly have the same UI and since I would never open the Paris slider, I would save a few quid. I'm holding out for a Walkman iPhone competitior which should have a large screen, stylus and maybe a d-pad. That would put a badass at the front of the queue.

What makes you say N95 8Gig specifically? Are you hiding something?

I am really having a major internal struggle right now! Diamond or Paris?

I'll be able to make my decision once Paris' specs get official. I'm guessing the announcement is still on track for later this month, given the leaks.

what is the buldge for in the back of the slider? that buldge is usually for the main camera unit, but that is on the actual back of the phone....

hmmm...

I wondered that too. On the Nokia 6110 Navigator there's a bulge in the same spot for the GPS receiver. It may be the same thing on Paris.

It's quite the opposite in my case. Paris apeals on me because of the qwerty keypad. I can't imagine myself writing multipaged document on the screen ;-D

The reason paris looks ugly in those pics is because the transparent plastic cover is not yet removed which spoils its beauty

I told yah. Paris is ugly both in pic and up-close. Haha...The set of features is disappointing, too.
It won't be too long before SE officially announces it!
You guys better wait for Iphone 2 and Nokia "Tube."

You sound pretty confident. I guess this means you know exactly what the features are if you can label them "disappointing." So...spill the beans.

It's the features I'm concerned about. Looks don't matter.

what's that thing right below the display? i'm thinking it could be a smaller touch sensitive display for the softkeys...very weird.
