QVGA screens would have taken 2 more years to become popular
and you can kiss goodbye to VGA screens, optical zoom this year, cuz nobody would have wanted to push it
and nobody would care to make mechanical shutters and auto lens cover on phones a reality

Hey ppl looks like flash lite could be coming to UIQ after all:

Could be a good sign! |

^nice. but i think that somewhere along the line you got twisted ...
not to discount flash lite for UIQ as an important feature BUT that is nto what has been discuseed in relation to the last few pages!
we wont know about flash till hands on at some conference in the future.
but what has been discussed was a photo flash (new transmissive LED that is supposed to use less power than xenon and be comparable to intensity (i doubt))
however your discovery should not be discounted. thanks |

look at the camera cover in both pictures
one had a shorter cover with two small things ( LED's ?? ), and the other one doesn't have this...
are they different prototypes ? and wich one is newer ?
the one wich had longer camera cover seems to have one small thing under the camera lens and it dissapeared in the second one, but show two small things in other position, and duo to the fact the cover got smaller to not covering them while shooting I guess these are LED's and this change made for
- using the LED's as a torch with the need to turn on the camera ( eg. opening the camera cover )
- having more powerfull light.
- reducing the noise in low light conditions while using the LED's.

^^ As a SE photoshop concept designer(like you Xajel ), i can tell that the image above is absolutely fake, just look at the noise on the lens cover and you'll tell that it was modified. and battery cover housing the SE logo easily indicates it's fake. because the photoshopper forgot about hiding the brush prints beside the camera ot it seems like the dark portion there is brushed with a "burn tool" in photoshop.

@ Xajel , razec ....
People, picture with shorter cover and two LEDs was made in two minutes just to make a point on torch/no torch discussion that was going on ! Don't you read the posts ?
( .... and I didn't touch the baterry cover )
I will remove it if confusing ... ?

The opened camera lens does not completely fit too, you can see the slants aren't correctly proportional as well as the blurs at the end.

the dimensions on paris may very well be 103 x 54 x ? mm (with a 2.8" display) based on this (projected) size comparison with the G900:

I agree. But then the bigger question is this: Why hasnt there been flash lite support for UIQ since those devices?
(@My Ninja: it doesnt really matter what you discussed in the last few pages since a finding is a finding, and in fact before those pages even existed I was talking about flash lite anyway) |
