Why do all you people keep speculating? This would be a good Idea- I think it will be that - no it will be this - none of you actually know anything! lol! Why do you think everyone informative/useful isnt even bothering with this banter! Youre just making things up now! We dont know enough to say its 2.6". And who even said that? one guy claims it and the entire forum goes into a frenzy! lol! Whats to stop me from saying now that the camera isnt 5.0MP, or that the processor is rubbish, or whatever! Please read between the lines or dont say anything!
PK, its all well and good that they have other devices coming, but I, and other people here have been waiting for 8 months now for what we call the P5. Point is, we get to a point where we dont want to wait anymore. And theres no way SE are gonna just announce and release a device better than paris, along with paris. Im tired of waiting now! If its 2.6", blah blah blah and doesnt meet our expectations, I for one will probably go for an N96, or N82. SE are pushing it now. They probably wont even meet our expectations for P5 this time next year, if their rate of progress is as slow as some people seem to be claiming.

I agree with this. While it's contradictory to talk about rumors and speculation in this manner given this is a rumors and speculation thread, not everyone is a credible source--in fact, except for three to five people, everyone here claiming to have information is either incredible or is lying. At least that's how I see it.
The truth is that anyone can claim to have "confirmed" specs and spout something just to get a reaction. Then it gets picked up, spread to other forums, and that's how misinformation starts.
Again, I know it's stupid to talk like this on a thread devoted to rumors, but I know who to listen to and who to trust. And with that, I'm confident in my information until proven otherwise beyond a shadow of a doubt. |

Thanks for confirming about the keypad colors!!! 
If you think you can confirm anything else, please do...
In Mizzle's pic it does seem like double colored and in Xellar's pic I think the colors got faded and mixed up due to editing... The silver/black combo also looks good though the all black keyboard would look much better...
Quite frankly I am also a bit dissapointed with Paris so far but I will keep my critisism till all the specs are officially releaved...  |

So far all the pics that I hv seen of paris...1 word Not Impressive sorry thats 2 words...furthermore interface....even nokia  s60 touch looks better than what I have seen so far about UIQ
Paris is by no means a breakthrough or anything to jump about ...thats ofcourse based on the info provided in this thread so far.
Oh and Btw i changed my mind... i would go for X1 than paris

Just to want you guys to put things in prespective: besides g700 and g900, there are about SEVEN uiq devices to be announced/released (some will only be announced) in 2008

right now all we have is 3/4 pictures ... woo hoo.
anyway im grateful for them, dont get me wrong. but all this rampant "noise" is just that, meaningless distraction.
if this is like last year when people thought the W910 was the W960 and vice versa then that may be a pleasant surprise. i know that it was for me at least. both turned out to be excellent phones too.
i hope that the high end phone if it is what we see in the pics or otherwise has 8/16GB internal with a card reader similar to K850 but instead of one it fields a pair dual slots readers. double up on storage! space is cheap i shouldnt have to swap cards out of my phones ...
8/16GB internal + 16&16 MicroSDHC ~= 1 BluRay worth of storage, now THAT is above and beyond.
wouldnt mind all the radios that are in the X1 as that is an admirable list. and a full color palette 16mill VGA res.
like laurenke said the keys are clear/glossy but the color behind them is black, the keys are curved which is why one half appears white. SE doesnt waste space on cell phones, i doubt the space under the screen is an area to "rest your thumb" the X1 doesnt have it, the W960 doesnt have it, none of the Ps before had it. Theres something there, i feel like it could have been used for screen real estate, but SE has an idea. hopefully the cam side isnt as ugly as the W960 i dont know what that uber huge ring protuberance around the lens was ... i pray that its discreet and similar to how the G900 is setup.
the iphone is a piece of trash, anyone dumb enough to buy one is lazy and unintelligent.
ps: the X1 is a MEDIA phone i dont know what all this business class discussion is all about they created the line for the eXperience ... they did NOT have the business man/woman in mind when they contracted HTC for the phone. im not saying the this phone pictured is, but the X1 most CERTAINLY is NOT! |

^^ that makes sense as well, my apologies for the misinterpretation but i dont know why you were the only one to notice/say something about it.
seems quite obvious, having read the pages between my last visit and today, a lot of folks just feed of each other instead of observing for themselves. i know its hard to do with everyone clamoring, especially due to mizzles biweekly pictorials/photosets. but be patient i guess, of which i have none on the internet ... but still some guys on the board are trying to help, but they should leave it at that and what the KNOW rather than what they THINK they know.

I think his point for posting that was to show that Paris is not the only UIQ phone this year, not by a long-shot. So, the people claiming 2.6 QVGA etc, etc, may not be wrong--there probably will be devices with those specs later on to appeal to all market segments--but Paris is not it. |

I wouldnt be suprised if this is the highest spec Uiq we'll see from Se this year, a n95 with a p1 keyboard.
At least the keys are all black. Could work out a good phone at a cheap price, like the other new uiq phones. |
