It's the same UIQ than the P1i. And this is actually 3.0
UIQ3.1 is optimized for non TS devices |

Is this the cause why you say it's UIQ 3.1?
And this is UIQ3.1

i would love to see a full touchscreen SE device. it doesnt have to be positioned as an iphone killer, more competetive device ^-^ a true multimedia SE, good photos (a 3,2mp with a flash) the rest please typicall SE.
is there any place , where someone can suggest a few software things for upcoming phones?
well smth like:
- please anable writing sms in landscape, with fullkeyboard. in candybar modus a classical inpunt .
- i want to see , at what times i missed the calls. SE allways shows the last missed call of an number. lets say 555-23-2332125 called me three times i only get a (3)and the last timestamp, but i dont know what time the other calls have been.
- i want those indicator LEDs back. red LED fast blinking missed call, red led slowly blinking , sms awayting.
-call button for fast opening of a keypad.
- good walkman functions with decent photocam (Flash aand lens cover)
with all those functions inside, this phone would be a seller ^-^
PS: i think i got a little bit offtopic but im just so exited |

Well to be honest, Nokia's S60 touch wasn't anything completely shocking. Their UI transitions were exactly like the iPhones, and button sizes were made for stylus input. Now UIQ 4: looks like it's perfect for finger use and stylus... That's already a pro to the UIQ4.
Nokia S60 Touch's transitions were flash based, while SE's UIQ 4(as they call it) transitions were SVG based. afaik flash based transitions doesn't allow menu icons to be changed with a new icon pack from the theme. whilst SVG-based icons can be changed and the transitions are still there
i think the UIQ interface shown in symbian show isn't the final one yet. as we can see it looks underdeveloped yet. because it still lacks those basic buttons foun in UIQ 3

Given it's looks, features and the indisputable abilities of Sony CCD and it's lens, color algorithm, design,Camera UI, this will be the best camera phone i've ever seen! why wont SE europe do that? because it's too thick for users? screw them!

!!! that cybershot looks perfect! The japan phones always seem to show off their best effort, and the international phones in comparison look like their developers got incredibly lazy and couldnt be bothered making a decent product.
Its so unfair! |
