Nah, new naming structure... I'd say T700.

Another aspect of the design of the T610 was that to the untrained eye the phone looked, well sort of boxy. However if you examine the lines of the T610, its very hard to find a single straignt line in the design itself, all the lines on the T610 are a very subtle curve.
There doesn't seem to be any of that in the new phone but still it looks good I suppose, the keypad isn't unique to the design but it could have been better. The Photoshoppers on here could have conjured up some interesting designs.

That is disappointing! I expected better than this, too square and those W890 keys are also not nice. This was supposed to be a successor to the legend that was the T610 not a confused W890. |

Yeah, I think I'm going to give a proper T610i revival photoshop a go tomorrow. Should be fun.
Also, I'm not so sure this is supposed to be a T610i revival. Mizzle suggested it is one, but we have to wait and see what themselves call it before we can truly judge it for what it apparently is.

agreed.
I hope it's not, because i don't think it will make the image of SE better. |

@Muhammad-Oli
That will be very interesting I can't wait to see that really, make it a competition even.
I seen a reversed T650i black/silver case for sale on eBay, not OEM of course but it too looked quite nice.

I really do hope its not a revival and basically a successor to the T650.I'll be due my upgrade again in March 09 so it would be out of the high end C series or something to replace my T650 with.

Thanks for the idea Goldenface.
We have now got this up and running here. So if anyone hanging around this thread wants to have a go at doing better than this leaked T610i revival attempt, you're more than welcome to join us! Come on, it can't be that hard to do improve on this!
Cheers guys.

As I posted on Mizzle's blog:
Seems to me that while Remi is channeling parts of the T610 (but so did the T650), it is not a T610 remake in the strictest sense. SE may market it as a T610 successor, which is great as far as advertising goes since it will likely hook consumers who bought and loved that phone.
But it seems to be “just” another T-series phone, with elements of T-series phones gone by. I was going to say that it is likely a T650 successor, but the lack of AF makes me question this.
Still, it’s a nice-looking phone. |

personal fanaticism aside ... the T610 was revolutionary, it was my first SE phone and lead me to believe what they were offering would continue. but i see they like living in the past.
metal casing looks terrific though, wouldnt mind to see how weighty it is (i may be the only person who doesnt mind the weight of a device so long as its justified)
but its good to see SE want to rekindle that fire that they let linger for oh so long, i have a feeling that when the sept releases come, SE will need to show investors SOMETHING to get them back on board 2 quarters of sliding profits will make many ppl wary.
whats good with hiring an INTEL or IBM for a mobile chipset? re-source your components see if that can help you out instead of holding steady with a platform from the darkages ...
