Well nobody knows for sure, and people don't want to jump-in without hard proof that its really going to surface.

It may be out when the new phones (C905 and others) are out as a last gift from to the old DB3150 K850 users.

Been 3 months since I posted, is there a new firmware?

My phone is driving me absolutely insane now, its always turning itself off (done it about 6 times in the last 24 hours), the battery is shockingly bad (only 2 days from it with absolutely zero usage), and a lot of the time, it doesn't start charging when I connect it cause I get a message saying the battery isn't an offical Sony Ericsson one. Its got to the stage now where I just want to launch it against a wall, I've got another 9 months left with it though

I'd be even more upset if I actually used the camera aswell cause thats just woeful.

Love the phone itself and I dont want to have to get rid of it for something else but its absolutely laden with problems.

yeah, maybe it will be its last firmware too. At least they should upgrade the cam driver - to the fullest!

I'm having very difficult time understanding the meaning of this question, considering it is posted on a board that is more or less dedicated to Sony Ericsson phones, in a thread labled "K850 Firmware Overview"

Are you sure that there will be a new firmware coming out, because I'm going to buy a SE k850, but if there won't be a new firmware there will be no point of buying it..

Have to agree with this. To be honest K850 was the bigges failure... A phone full of bugs and issues (just like the early P990s)...
