K850 Firmware Overview |

but IMO, its much more stable now unlike when it started. The very downfall of this model is that firmware creators were slow to develop solutions to the phone's problem.
If only they have thrown firmwares like R1FA035 in the very beginning and leap beyond expectations afterwards, this model could have thrown a better fight in the mobile community
I'm keeping this phone until a C905 successor kicks in. |

Sony have really let us down on the maintenance of the k850i -
It's not as bad now as it started out at, but you get the feeling it's too little to late. I don't even use mine anymore. Everyone around me either has a iphone or a blackberry.
I'd still go SE over the other major rivals though

I have random reboots now even if I press on the shortcut button!!!
Of course then it's setting the ugly laser theme!

It's funny 'cause right when I pressed 'Turn Off' for my alarm, the phone just shut down. It was not a reboot, but a total shut down. :S
Oh well!
After months of having R1F, definitely more stable, but not perfect. |

maybe SE should be hiring more intelligent and innovative programmers.
They act real sloooooowwwwww and they are so blind to see what's going on.
Anyways, everchanging flash animation looks good on this phone. |

LOL @ my k850,
I do think it needs to be set to a service center now
Dust under camera-glass
Loose screenglass
Random reboots with latest FW
Flash makes every pic a white mess
Painting on buttons is partly gone
"Hang-up" button is wierd
And now is the keypad surface coming off.
Best cybershot in quality
No harm is done to it and i havent dropped it once on the floor. Great job, SE, great job. You really don't deserve your salary. |

Waw! Could you tell us how long do you have your K850?
Mine is 2 months, still perfect
Dunno what will happened later...
About firmware, I thought there is some more new firmware rev coming. K850 get the same software project inheritance as W910 and K660.

maybe you should drop it !!
My dog pulled the usb cable once accidentally and drop it down. It was just 2 days new. nothing happened. no brod ever (i've run all the firmwares), no dust just squiking back side. In every update its getting better. in a few days i'll cellebrate its birthdays !! and hopefully i'll have my new phone !! (c905 or w902 second choice).
I think i've dropped my k800 too and k700 once or twice. (OK. not all the time), might work .... |

OMG OMG OMG
Vodafone Slovenia has finaly uploaded the new firmware! It took them 9 months! The last option was the old shitlike R1DA038 and now its the R1FA035. Thank god... I've just tried taking a photo with flash at close distance... I was shocked to see no flashburns.
Well, I hope it won't die now. |

Run your finger nail carefully around the edge to remove the platic cover. Be careful to maintain the sticker that holds it on.
>Flash makes every pic a white mess
Clean your light sensor with a toothpick
>Painting on buttons is partly gone
Mine too.
>No harm is done to it and i havent dropped it once on the floor.
Given I have dropped mine a few times the case has survived much better than my previous phones. |
