So still not new then. 2 of mine had 037 in.

Some phones wouldn't update to 037 before now. Such as Vodafone branded ones. That's why these people think it's new. It's old to us O2 branded K850i's and others. |

My K850 aint branded and it's simlock free. I'm from the Netherlands.
But it seems there are different customizations. (the first line)
I guess it depends on the country your from.

Mine also there is no update available at this moment. And I didn't have any problem
like many others such as flash sync nor shutter sound etc... what about yours?
I'm worrying because I saw many people who upgrade firmware 029 to 037 said this
firmware has other problems like memory issue...

I updated my O2 phone a few days ago and I dont see any improvements and the phone has frozen 3 times this week.
Shutter still has the sounds on mine too even in silent. |

Hello , Could anyone tell me about K850i and HBH-DS980 ... Because i`m going to buy them and iwant to know is there any problem on 037 with using this kit ? I mean ... is everything ok with K850i connected with DS980 ? Sound etc. Thanks for reply  |

Just checked for Update on SEUS - Orange UK available now! (Checked this morning and there was nothing....
Crossing fingers this one is brilliant! Will post back the Firmware version once done.

I can see that the flash is runnig well now

Hey! I got it from BelCompany too. 
Just like you, I don't have the problems everybody else seems to be having. The only thing that bothers me, is that the media center is incredibly slow (all the time). Just like the phone is when you start listening to some music, it becomes allmost impossible to write a sms or search for a contact.

Still nothing for T-Mobile UK. Sadly my phone is starting to run into problems - whenever I try to check e-mail it's now rebooting (tried wiping the e-mail a/c settings and re-entering but no change). Really hoping for the post 037 update soon (although I'd like to have even just 037!).

Don't hold your breath ... mine's debranded from orange and up graded to
037 and the reboots are still there .....

HAAAA, finally I can post something in this thread I have been following for a while now.
Well I bought a K850 RC1A29 O2 branded on ebay, I upgraded it to 037 via davinci.
After that I wanted to unbrand it to use orange Gprs settings so I used davinci again to put the Customized UK western europe 029.
I am still on this FW, and my question is the following : Does anyone having the same FW managed to upgrade to Generic 037 ?
I mean perhaps the customized one is not detected as an official FW or something.
Because I cant find any available updates on SEUS or FOTA or even Davinci.

Yeah, it's true. While listen music, everything goes very slow. First I use 2GB MicroSD, it was endurable but after I upgrade 8GB MicroSDHC, it becomes like 8bit computer like 20 years old.
And there is still some problems such as;
- Volume control sometimes disapper. Turn phone off and on again, it solves.
- WMV file playing fail very very sometimes, also turn off and on again, it solves.
- Playing MP4 movie file, voice and screen sync is not matched very seriously, it depens how big MP4 file is.
- Dust inside of Lens cover... it is really annoying...
- Of course it's like fingerprint collection tape from police lab.
But no other problems like contact's birthday can't connect with calendar nor flash does not sync when it works at pitch black environment... etc.
I think BelCompany's 029 firmware is much fixed and better than others. Holla! |
