Does anyone else find that white areas of photos/videos look a bit yellow on the K850i screen compared to the K800i or other phones?

or maybe the K800i is a little too blue and the K850i is correct!?

Look forward to hearing other peoples impressions of their K850i screens (does it have a slight over warm or yellow tinge compared to what you've had before or is this one faulty?)

On a different subject:

1 Tip so far for smoother video playback,

instead of using 'Auto rotate' on Media menu 'Settings'
select either Landscape or Portrait,
using Auto rotate (I know it's a nice idea but) really seems to makes videos stutter,

they are a bit jerky anyway for first couple of seconds (compared to K800i) in Landscape mode until the progress bar and icons disappear then they play smooth (have tried all display options, guess a firmware update should fix this one!)

PS: Files tested are M3 encoded video 300Kbps, audio 96Kbps LC (which play smooth on K800i)

Cheers,
Dcuk

Yes t'is me!
Good to hear I was able to help, hope things are still going well.

I have done lots of audio tests since then and now use different encoding settings but I guess we should start a new thread for that!

Sorry for late reply,

using the latest version of Nero Digital Audio (version:1.1.34.2)
ftp://ftp6.nero.com/tools/NeroDigitalAudio.zip

************************************************************
After lots of testing, for dBpoweramp I now use:

high quality = Quality (VBR) 100 Kbps LC
very good quality = Quality (VBR) 64 Kbps LC

(or for smaller files)
good quality = Quality (VBR) 64 Kbps HE

************************************************************

If using M3:
high quality = VBR 96 Kbps LC (Never drop below this with LC!)
good quality = VBR 64 Kbps HE

************************************************************

I stopped using HEv2 as found out it's actually mono cleverly encoded to sound like stereo,
it does a good job if tiny files are needed or going to be listed to in a place where there's a lot of background noise but the sound is very narrow compared to either LC or HE which are true compressed stereo,

It's hard to tell the difference but personally I prefer LC, HE is very, very good and is handy for mobile devices, LC has just a slightly higher clarity.

EDIT:
HE or HEv2 = High Efficiency encoding (will only play on some new mp4 players!)
LC = Low Complexity encoding (should play on any mp4 player)

hi there! if your talking about the flash on your still images.... then i guess its the thing they call in photography as "Flash recycling", its the ability of the cam to charge the xenon light as quickly as possible in order to achieve same light strength on the next shot.... maybe K850 is able to recycle at a longer time, like 3-5 secs after each shot.
