It's just meaningless if I had to open ports and assign an IP. You just can do it on your own router, which becomes meaningless as you use the phone on the go mostly, not at home and work.
It should work as a normal downstreaming media.

Has anyone tried lately, on the last firmware? It seemed to work with a real- stream on bbc that didn't before - but I'm not certain if it was just luck, or if something changed on the server, really..

edit: but I think it registers the rtsp service on a router now, or else maybe listens at open ports elsewhere (80?).

I think I found a solution that works with my particular router (a cheap Safecom GWART2-54125, with RouterTech firmware).

Forward these ports: TCP 554
UDP 6970-9999
TCP 7070

(Found this posted by 'Cely1968', buried in YouTube comments)

I need to have DMZ enabled and a static IP assigned. It actually seemed to work with just TCP 7070 forwarded, but I added the other ports anyway due to general uncertainty/ignorance.

This lack of streaming video is the single thing that has been niggling me with my P1i, so it's great to have finally fixed it. Hope this helps a few others!

Hmmm.. That last post seemed to get it working for me too. My guess is that then the media player or streaming implementation on the P1i is triggering or sending through the wrong ports. I had to put my TCP/UDP ports to send forward from 554 to 9999. I didn't need the UDP: 7070 port.
