Hi, i am just about to upgrade my vodafone w900i on contract to a k850i from vodafone, i have the PUK code, but as i want to sell the w900i do i need to send the sim card with it or will the PUK code unlock the phones network locks, without the sim. and do i have to use the old sim in my new phone or will it come with a new sim. LOL i hope you understood that, only ask because i will get more money for unlocked phone than a locked phone, thanks.

If you are upgrading then Vodafone will just send the new phone. You then remove the SIM from your W900i and put it in the K850i. A PUK code is only used if you forget the pin number for your sim.

Thanks, but when a seller say on ebay offers a phone unlocked what exactly is unlocked, the phone, or the sim card.

If the phone is sold as unlocked it means that it will work with any SIM card from any network (all the main ones anyway). As far as I'm aware, o2 phones are essentially unlocked as standard, whereas orange phones need unlocked to be used on a different network.
