i chect the sony ericsson site and found out about bst40 is it compatable to a w660i because the bst36 battery is not that lasting .

I don't think so looking at them

the BST-40 is 1mm wider so it might be a tight fit, but more significantly the + and - terminals seem to be the opposite way around between these two

the information sound right with the picture .but how can the p1i use the bst33 and now bst40

BST-40 is a replacement for BST-33, it has the same length/width, and the contacts are in the same place on both batteries......

BST-40 is 1mm thicker than BST-33, some '33'-powered phones can use it(K810 for example), but others can't(e.g: K800...the rear cover's too close to the rest of the housing, it bends if you try to install BST-40)
