YOU can hardly say low end phones are useless, to many people they are usefull. I bet you havnt even seen all those low ends in real life, your just generalising cause you don't like one or two.

LOL 2 options eh........This is one of the worst post i have seen in a while lol. If im not mistaken (which im not) there are nore options lol. You have just told us what phones are right for you so this "guide" isnt going to help anyone except i suppose ur self.

Why almost all low-end phones (except W200) are categorized as useless? They're might be useless for you but, as SE4NICK said, might be useful for other people, specially those who can't afford expensive phones.

Also, why K530 and V640 categorized as low-end?

Apple iPhone 4, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Sensation, HTC Inspire 4G, HTC Desire S, HTC Wildfire, S001, SO905iCS, T650 (Gold & Green), C901, W800, K660, K700, Beibei (G702), Severine (DEAD)

@ arunvc its hardly a review or guide its you generalising phones (which BTW you know nothing about, (V640 K610 low end lol). SERIUOSLY GUYS DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS go elswhere.....

To highlight inovation and whatever, you just say everything is crap with little knowledge on the product you highlight no invotaion in design you highlight your own insolence lol

"W610i-Wht else to say-Just another phone " That really is quality lol or what was that about W580 "just another phone like W800,W810" Let me guess its got thw walkman logo so automatically its just a copy of the most popular walkman phones. Wake up to yourself this stuffyour saying wont help anyone lol.

This is the sadest SE review/guide ever if you could call it that....

@ SE4NICK
w580i
The camera lacks autodocus and flash, which a phone released in same price in 2005 had, sliding mechanism had little flaws and is shaky
w610i
Is a copy of w810i, with rear panel being absolute clone of w810i,screen and camera are both a little below par,and the specification to is identical phone of 2005 and the small buttons might be too fiddly for some.

The shallowest phone comparison ever made (and a mass comparison one, hehehe)

I have many things to say, but for example, you picked T650 because its a "HIT". Man, compared to K810, its only advantage is its design and materials used (K810 not too far behind though), but in terms of features and price K810 is better. That's why despite the release of T650 I still bought the K810.

@chowchow

fusing illumination effects
stainless steel finish
scratch-proof mineral glass
3.2 Mp with autofucs
good material and qaulity
Looks elegant than k810 accoding to me
Solid build
And the extra JAZZ makes this phone HIT
This is innovative and new product from SE for 2007
Compared to update of K800 to K810

I Truly feel T650i makes most of eyes turn so i picked it

I think there might be some validity to his point, actually. It might also be a little inflammatory, but really, compared to all of the other phone manufacturers (Apple included now) how much innovation has Sony Ericsson added/introduced into it's porfolio this year? Honestly?.... or, are a majority of all of the new Sony Ericsson phones introduced this year, for the most part, essentially the same phone only in a slightly different form factors with only incrimental upgrades? Is the Symbian v 9.1 OS with UIQ 3 used in Sony's smartphones any different now from what it was in the P990 or M600? How much has the UI changed in all of that time (a good portion of the reviewers who have recently reviewed Sony's P1 have slammed it as of late, CNET being the latest no doubt!!!)? P1 owners want to field this one?... What about all of the K series Cybershots introduced? K800, K810, and K770? How many 3MP mid range candy bar style cybershots do we really need? What about the Walkman line? They haven't really changed all that much from one handset to the next, unless you count the addition of slider phones to Sony's porfolio as some kind of cutting edge developement.... The new T series?.... A really good phone, but still standard fare from Sony, and which consiquently takes major design ques from Sony's super succesful T610 (not that I can blame them though.)! Can we now expect Sony Ericsson to go Motorola's route, basing all of it's future designs on one super successful phone design without much innovation to the hardware? Will the T-series go the route of almost all of Motorola's design choices (or lack there of) and it's super successful Razor (blechhh!)?... What about Sony's unwillingess to let go of it's proprietary M2 memory format?... Why do this to us Sony?... It cost more than the INDUSTRY STANDARD, which EVERY OTHER PHONE MANUFACTURER USES!.... GRRRR.... Don't get me wrong, I applaud Sony's decision to include SD Micro card support in the K850i, finally, but if you ask me it's too little too late! Why not all across the line? Why only in the K850i?.... One step forward, only to take one step back I tell you!... When was the last time Sony did you a favor?... I love my walkman phone (I own a W850i, and am holding my baited breath until the W960i reviews start coming in before I make my next major cell phone purchase..) as much as any other poster on this forum, but honestly phones like the iphone and N95 8GB are awfully tempting. I just don't seem to understand people's blind allegiance to a CORPORATION (do you honestly think Sony Ericsson cares about you all, the way you all do about Sony Ericsson, when you rush to defend Sony Ericsson and their devices?!? Anyone remember the recent P990, M600, and W950 fiasco?!?... What about Sony's inability to make a joystick that'll last more than a few months? I owned a K800i before my W850i, and started having issues with it's joystick only after a few months! ... Anyone get their phones fixed on that? Why do people on this forum continue to buy Sony Ericsson's devices after bitching and moaning so much about the last device they owned?...) !... How many times are you going to let someone slap you in the face before you get sick of it?

Ok, sorry, I'm done. "Stepping off of my soap box now"....

I think the intention of the topic starter (a huge Sony ericsson fan from the sound of it) was to express was his disatisfaction and disappointment with Sony Ericsson's 2007 portfolio and their "safe" approach, as of late, to phone design and innovation. How does Sony Ericsson honestly hope to stay in contention with all of the other major phone manufacturers by dragging their feet? I think this quote that I read in Stephen Fry's blog on smartphones recently, best describes Sony Ericsson's design ethic: 'The P1i is what happens when “oh, that’ll do” becomes the corporate motto.' You really want Sony Ericsson to change? Take your money elsewhere, that'll get Sony Ericsson's attention and some real innovation.
