the k750 does not support edge so it is not compatible.

But you can flash it whit the W800i s firmware and that wiil work..
it is fully compateble... buttons and all...
and iff you change the front & back & middle frame of the phone...thene you can sell it as a w800i ( nobody will know the difference...

Actually I did this, but the back part didn't work correctly (opening the lens won't trigger the camera software) so I had to keep the k750 back... Any tips on how to get this working? |

bobafett is definitely right, you simply can't... unless you wanted a useless phone.
and you are right also with the fact that the K750 has an ACTIVE sliding mechanism that triggers the camera function while the W800 or W810 don't have such. be guided please. you don't want a non-working phone later...

me changed all the the three front & back & middle frames of the phone and the firmware also, now it;s totally changed as W800. and even the backside camera lens cover also working perfectly without any probs. |

I flashed my K750 to W800 last year successfully. I used Multiserver, it cost me £8. I can't find the set of instructions I used, but after doing a google search I found some instructions on how to do it using Davinci, Here

if you are talking about K750 to W800 you are correct. My K750 has been a W800 for most of it's life. I used the K750 front and back (I like the active shutter), and W810 middle chasis. it's all black 
If you use a w810 middle chasis (not the pcb just the plastic chasis bit), you need to mod the back to properly fit the camera switch, but it can be done.

i could not imagine the way you have fitted the K750 back with the W810 chassis considering that the K750 has its active camera opening slider mechanism! must have taken a toll of you in terms of planning it cheers, mate!
just to share something similar (more or less), here's my W810 sitting on a W800 chassis...
just wanted a unique phone to hold...

You cant update firmware from w800i/k750i to w810i as w810i requires bigger rom space than the other two do. If you flash the mainfirm, your GDFS will be damaged and without a backup or clean GDFS, you fone will say 'I dont know you'
