Well the reason for the pale shots is that you have to use the settings to get your preferred result. They are there to be used.

(referring to an earlier post here. Not to the nice shots recently posted)

Try either Daylight document mode OR cloudy document mode. The latter mode will produce darker and richer colours due to "cloudy" settings in the phone. Document will make your pictures look sharper,but applicable only in bright lit areas where sensor is able to catch ambient light, otherwise it will produce more jaggy edges and details lost.
