The JPEG noise on the roof edges is horrible - even though you reduced the image. |

Actually because of having reduced the image using MS Paint. When you save JPEG files in Paint it applies a very strong compression. Most other photo editing software would allow controlling the amount of compression. I use mainly Paint Shop Pro for shrinking photos and it has a built-in optimizer where you can see how the photo would look with any chosen compression, and the range being 1-100. I usually don't pick higher than 15.

It depends on what tweaking you're talking about. Sharpening is needed when shrinking photos, otherwise the photo turn out too soft with very little detail remaining. MS Paint applies sharpening automatically, but then applies too much compression when saving as JPEG so the end result look very noisy.

a tip...when you shoot Macro in daylight..use iso.100 + zoom 2-3 clicks, (the camera find best focus in that way... ...and of course, keep the phone realy steady

Nice pictures
One thing and a little trick i often use with my digicam is to set the self-timer when you snap pictures. Itīs easier to hold the phone steady if you dont need to press down the shutter-button at the picture moment.
This works really good but itīs a bit sad that there arenīt any "2 sec" delay option in the K850i as in most "real" digicams. Just the 10 second one and that is a bit to long for using this method. Feels like an eternity |

Jupp but there is another option! Use the touch key to let the cam take focus an fire. Try it! |
