Ramadhan Kareem greetings to all fellow members.

Almost due the blessed month once again.

The months when the Holy Quran was revealed and where all Muslims Fast between sunrise & sunset.

The Glorious Quran states in Chapter 2 Verses 183-185:

O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may learn self-restraint,

Fasting for a fixed number of days; but if any of you is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed number Should be made up from days later. For those who can do it With hardship, is a ransom, the feeding of one that is indigent. But he that will give more, of his own free will,- it is better for him. And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew.

Ramadhan is the month in which was sent down the Quran, as a guide to mankind, also clear Signs for guidance and judgment Between right and wrong. So every one of you who is present at his home during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period Should be made up by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. He wants you to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

Please remember me in your prayers

Hi Peter Kay mate.
Here we meet again in another religious thread if I may say. I have a couple of questions for all of you guys especially the muslims. I dont mean to underwstimate or look down upon your religion.

1. You guys nostly talk about Allah and we mostlty talk about God. How are the two Different. If not how are they the same.
2. We believe that Jesus was the last and greatest prophet and you talk about Muhammed at most. How do these two differ agn or alike if they are.

As for fasting, as a Christian I believe in the power of fasting as Jesus also fasted for 40 days an 40 nights. I wish you all the Best servise in you fasting ceremony as you go through the sacred ane holy processes of your religion.

May Allah be with you at all times

Good questions

Muslims believe God and Allah are the same.

Jesus (peace be upon him) is mentioned in the Quran more than the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), we belive that Muhammad (pbuh) is the final messenger and that the Holy Quran is the final revelation buy our Creator.
The Quran and the Bible don't have many differences. the Holy Quran has not changed sinced it was revealed.

We don't only fast in the blessed month but we also fast throughout the year if we want to, actually the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said to many companions fast as much as you can as it will save you from sin and bring you closer to our Creator.

Now, this topic is not to open questions about each religion but to greet all Muslims on the blessed month that is on its way

Ramadhan is started on Wednesday here in Indonesia. So, Ramadhan Mubarak for all.
Hope that I can fast for the whole month, do 'Tarawih' prayer every single night and discover 'miracle' again this year. It's always a wonderful month during Ramadhan here in my hometown. We always have the special 'takjil' made of coconut milk, brown sugar and rice for breaking the fasting. Excellent.
