Erm theres only a few but things that dont matter to many others:
Touch Screen,
Included Desktop Stand/Charger,
Build quality is better if original n95 is anything to go by,
Id say the battery life is better on the p1i ( but this is apparently resolved on the 8gb n95, time will tell)
Thats about it, but at the end of the day its persona preference!

Well, the N95 8gb is in a class of it's own and the black color really makes it that much appealing. That 2.8" screen makes the front of the N95 8gb so sexy! I mean, the front is 90% screen, perfect use of screen real estate!. No huge space wasted ala P, M and W series!

I might go out on a limb and predict that the N95 8gb will sell as well if not more than it's predecessor!

I think youll find it more than just storage. Its also more ram, a better battery life, a bigger screen and better build quaity and of course the new version of maps and a few tweaks to multimedia menus.

And yet you call adding a 3.2mp cameraa, wifi and a few buttons on the side an "evolution" of the mseries?

Apart from a qwerty keypad can you name any feature in which the n95 8gb is surpassed on the P1/W960?

Wow !!!! then its not reasonable to compare it to the old N95!

I said nothing about the P1's features I just pointed out that I feel it is an evolution of the M series rather than a fix for the P990i

When I have actualy tried both the N95 8Gig and the W960 I will let you know

But the N95 I have was not to my liking at all.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot.

We should not forget that N95 is more multimedia phone because, without qwerty and touch screen, business activities as writting larger emails, creating end editing word, excel and power point files, taking meeting minutes, managing projects, using copy-paste function of a specific text with additional editing and similar is, I believe, not a great joy to do.
From the other side, for P1, those things are like breathing.

Nice try, koto. But remember that if the n95 can't do something, it's not worth mentioning. That's the rules.

both the p1i andn n95 8 gig are band-aid fixes... but the n95 has just always been higher spec'd...

i'm personally leaning toward the n95 8 gig.... just cause i want to see what's been changed and how well it'll handle with the new ram...

Well.. what exactly is it supposed to be used for, you know? What handles so much better? Isn't that.. sort of essential, if you're going to dish out around a 4-500 euro for a phone?

N95 are not meant to do these activities. P1i would have the advantage over N95 doing the above activities. For me, if above activities are priority then I'll get WM/Communicator instead of the neither here nor there P1i.

I'd get the w960. I might even get the w960 when its released. Obviousley i'd do some research when the phones are actually released tho.

Cant argue that the n95 will be higher spec'd in some departments but i've been using touch screen phones for 5 years now and i dont think i could go back!

Also i should think that the w960 will be the more stable of the 2 as i for one i'm pleasently suprised by UIQ 3 now - not had an issue for ages.

Has a December release date even been set, or are you just speculating? Has Sony even released a price and release date for the K850i?.... I just got an email about the K850i, announcing that it will be released "soon".... I don't remember asking to get information on this particular handset, yet here we are in mid-September and I'm pretty sure that they've yet to announce a price or release date on that particular handset! I'd just be really happy if they released a date and price already on the W960i!
