I would certainly look forwad to it but at the same time i would like to have symbian uiq phones from sony ericsson...!!

UIQ is very powerful, it just needs time to develop and mature. I'm not too keen on windows. |

Don't see it happening in the near future...that's unless a cataclysmic event brings the development of UIQ to a halt.
@indiandawg: Symbian was developed because phone makers didn't want Micro$oft to dominate the smartphone market.

Being around for a while doesn't necessarily mean something that it is ready.
With SE's messing up the OS thus crippling it at this stage it will need more time.
I think by next year it would've matured.

am not saying sony ericsson should stop making smartphones with uiq...
my idea is what if sony ericsson comes out with WM6 ? it would be a killer phone i guess with alll the connections 3G/HSDPA/GSM/GPRS/ EDGE/Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
and lots..
