a friend dropped my phone into a can of white emulsion paint. he retrieved it, cleaned it as best he could and handed it back... couldn't believe it when it rang! mind u it didn't last long: a week later it sadly died. can't imagine what the phone co. thought when they received it back for replacement! 
edit: so paint works, but not immediately!

its easy, get lots of blu tac and a model aeroplane, and do lotts of stunts so it comes loose and falls to the ground (someone from the air club actually done that!)

Carefully clean the phone, inside and outside. Remove battery, clean the mobiles screen, reach for a hammer, and SMASH IT TO PIECES!!!
