Unlock P1 keypad and TS like Iphone? |
remirez Joined: Apr 11, 2007 Posts: 317 PM |
Hi guys, have a look at the video on this page.
At the very beginning, the guy seems to unlock the TouchScreen by sliding a lock on the screen a la Iphone. The rest of the Iphone theme used is known already (clownfish pic plus iphone icons) but the unlock function is new to me.
Has anyone tested that? Does it work?

Hi Remirez...spookily...I was watching this earlier on youtube... but I strongly suspect...the locked screen...is a screensaver..... notice the cingular logo on top left of screen...and the fact the slider block does not move across the screen as the finger moves....just goes straight to the iphone themed P1 home screen....

Yeah Smiler, well spotted, it does indeed look like a screen saver.
Matter closed then |

You can now download a sis version of a popular java applet called Iphone lock. It allows you to unlock your uiq 3 phone like you would an iphone ie by sliding a little er..... slider
It's pretty cool.
Remember to unlock the phone's automatic keypad lock and to 'launch' the app whenever you want to lock the phone. A nice little shortcut or Gdesk should make all this more practical.
Here is the link and credits to the developper Kwull (I think) from smart-se.ru

Remember it's a beta realease and there is still room for improvement but it's a big improvement on the java applet. |

Does any one know how nipsen changed the background image/text? |

Apparently, you can change most the components as they all are in an mbm file (some sort of archive with image files inside). The mbm file is somewhere in the d:/shared folder.
Here are the instruction staken from http://www.imserba.com/forum/showthread.php?p=830731
-open your memory card with thru ur pc
-open D:/Shared/iphone and copy SKIN.MBM
-just add the wallpaper 240x320 in the skin.mbm through the mbm tool
-once uve open it delete the old wallpaper
-save the mbm file with the same name SKIN.MBM

I like this...
I've modded my theme with a W960 based theme and added the shortcut to iPhoneUnlock - shown here as the orange padlock icon...
and here is my customised iPhoneUnlock screen...
It's not too hard if you follow the instructions right! - which I managed to mess up to start with
Enjoy...

It's Java app I heard it consumes battery. I stop using it altogether after I use Gdesk.

does this mean it doesn't drain the battery as badly as before? that's my concern about using this otherwise cool app. |
