Hello,
I have not yet been able to resolve my current problem:
My computer crashes and reboots every time I disconnect the USB cable from the telephone. I use the cable provided with my phone.

- Brand new Z710i at latest software level
- Win XP SP2 with all available fixes
- Latest level of SE PC Suite (2.10.38) downloaded from SE site
- USB drivers for Z710i: Version 4.40.2.0 dated 03/04/2007:
-- Sony Ericsson Device 116
-- Sony Ericsson Device 116 USB Ethernet Emulation (WDM)

Anybody had this problem?
Any clues welcome!
Thanks

Skipper06 from the French Riviera

I checked with several antivirus and also looked at the hijack report.... No sign of anything which should not be there.

I also have received a reply for Sony Ericsson support.... they indicate that this problem has nothing to do with their USB driver.... since I am the only person who has reported this system reboot! I guess I will not get any help there.

So I suppose I have to stick to my very slow bluetooth connection to upload/download unless I am lucky and someone else has the same problem.

This was an old post... but my problem is still there.
I cannot connect to my computer with the cable and I have to use Bluetooth instead which is much slower.

My other solution is to connect with the cable on my son's computer.

My guess is that it is configuration dependent.

I considered reinstalling Win XP but could not face it!
Good luck
