What was your first SE experience? |

Just thought it would be interesting to see what everyone’s first SE experience was, mine was back some time in 2003 when a friend got a T610, at the time I thought it was huge and I hated it (I had always had small clamshells). I would never have thought I would be looking to buy my 3rd SE handset this weekend, or that everyone in my home would also own a SE handset. I’m sure that for some of you the love of SE handsets goes even further back then the T610
In my rush I forgot to post what my first SE Phone was, it was a w810i and I loved it to bits…still think its better then my k800i but that might be because I’ve had a lot of problems with the k800i handsets that T-Mobile kept sending me (bloody refurbs!!) but I got a brand new sealed one off them eventually!

First phone, to last phone....
Bosch 509e (payg)
Siemens C25e (payg)
Nokia 8210
SE T68i
SE T610
SE K700i
Nokia 6280
SE K800i (keeping for another contract term, as its so good)
Looking forward to getting the K850i, but it looks kinda chunky. Might just settle with W880i, as would love a slim phone, and Motorola's are too buggy. |

@stetwin, great topic you've got here! My first experience with SE doesn't go as far back as some of the others here at Esato, and I started off with the legendary K750i. I was so pleased with it that I even started a thread on it! But as I'm posting from my phone now, I'm unable to provide a link to it. The thread title's "My new K750i, loving it". I was fortunate to have an absolutely pleasant experience with my first SE phone, which was why I bought the W810 two days back, and which I'm posting from right now! It takes all the positive traits of the K750i and adds more of its own! I'm loving it already, but I won't sell my K750i either.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. |

hmmm, k800 - k810. not much of an upgrade. i did similar, sorta, had k800, then went p990, w880 couple other phones in between and went k810, got very bored of it straight away as i had owned a k800. though keypad is very comfy when typing sms.... oh well... each to their own..... good luck....

i remember it as the day before yesterday.
it was a sunny spring day, with birds who song their favorite ringtone.
i walked into a mobile retail shop, at that point it was just like a movie.
all sounds stoped, in a slowmotion way i walked to her.
we were connected at once, like a paired bluetooth headset.
so i touched here gently, and moved my thumb over the power swich.
which made here buzz. a couple times.
i knew it this is the one i've been looking for.
her bright blue eyes lighted up, like cat's eye's in the dark.
i must have her, i must take her with me.
at that point my ericsson-phobie began.
and a long lasting relation ship with my T65 ... which never ended
*sigh*

back in 2003 when i had my externship, i would often hang around at Greenhills (the mobile phone hub in RP). still have no money of my own then so i window shop for future dream phones. at that time, i was a connecting-people-phone fan. but i got curious why in every stall i went to, people lined up to buy SE Z600, SE Z200. that was the start of my curiosity with SE. I first got a hand though in trying an phone with a T630 from a workmate. and at that time, i was impressed. in 2005, incorporated a breakthrough in cellphones: Autofocus. All the more was i impressed. so i got myself my first phone: a k750. which i lost after 6 months. but i do own a w810 now
