P1i update process |

P1i is my first symbian phone and I had a hard time after the update.
Everything was successful, but when I restarted my phone I started receiving messages that all my applications should be installed again. I also lost all my settings and preferences, but it cannot be compared to installing all the applications all over again.
Is there an easy way to survive the post-update process?
Thanks |

I think he means the applications installed on the phone! Do a backup of the apps with PC Suite before an update, then restore it after!

Yeap, I meant the apps on the phone. Well... it is too late now. I should know that for the next time.
There are some applications that ask to be installed and then I get an error about corrupted installation file. Any ideas why that may be?
Thanks again. |

This is the same problem as on P990. You must have installed those applications on your memory stick. The quick fix is to format your memory stick or find he installation files individually and delete them.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

The installation creates 3 folders on your ms:
data, system and private.
You can delete the data and system folders on your ms fm the file manager on your phone, but the private folder only from your pc.
