When I switch on I just have 'today' on my standby screen which I then have to click to show the subsets (missed calls, inbox, calendar) etc and get my tasks showing on the screen. Is there any way for this to open automatically?

It's already set to that. When I switch on the phone I have to use the touch screen to click on 'today' and open the tree to show all the other lists, despite them being set to expanded. Should they come up automatically without me having to touch today? Once I have done that they stay on the screen until I switch the phone off. Sadly I have to expand the tree again when I reboot.

Mine doesn't do that. I've expanded it, set the option in Settings and it stays open. That's not much help but it shows it should be working.

I agree, mine is set to Expanded and every morning when I switch the phone on, I have an expanded Today screen (makes sense!!). To clarify, if I have entries within a heading, eg Calendar, I still have to tap on that to see what my appointments are but my Today screen consists of the following headings: email accounts, Calendar, SMS Inbox and Tasks with brackets after each heading showing how many entries there are in each (unless there are none). It could also include Recently Missed Calls but I choose not to bother.

I knew I wasn't crazy, I was sure mine USED to do that so why won't it now?

Booted today and my list is expanded again. Definitely a bug.
