HELLO PEOPLE, I A FROM SONYB ERICSSON DEVELOPER CENTRE-SWEDEN
As many of you people face this green tint problem, the SE group is sorry for the problem, its because of the CAMERA MODULE and y the green tint problem is much more complicated, so the only possible way to rectify is give it to sony ericsson service centre and change the camera module.
thank you.

If anyone has access to EMMA can you try the green tint issue with the newest firmware (R6G04)?

Dear All,

This is to confirm that the green tint on my phone has been completely eliminated after the latest firmware upgrade.

This is taken shortly after the update

Was taken before update: Incorrect color. Magenta disruption, green tint heavy on the right.

Conclusion drawn: Under near exact condition, setting, etc - P1i prior firmware update shows significant green tint on the right and overcooked magenta in the middle. Although after the update P1i, one might argue that the green tint is still there - I would say its almost to none ( I cant see it anymore )

Now, I'm not in a good position to say that the new firmware have corrected all the problems or have returned the camera to 'normal'

What I did say (or I wanted to say) is that there is significant and noticeable difference after and before the upgrade.

Definitely an improvment... but I see a touch of magenta still in the centre in the road markings for instance (or am I seeing things!?)

I can't objectively verify this. Maybe theres slight touch of magenta - but it is incredibly subtle I can't really take notice of it.

This is a stark contrast to the second photo which you can see that the colors are wrong and definitely the magenta is still there in the middle.

@5nak3

Yes there is a new firmware but it is yet to be released to the public. People with access to EMMA (SE service centre tools) can apparently get it already.
Like most people have been saying the green tint issue is really not so much of an issue anymore. It is still there but now it can mainly only be seen in bad lighting and on uniform colours. I am just wondering if they have made any further improvements for the camera.

I am sorry to say this. This is nonsense. I can tell you it is not due to faulty camera hardware module. Why? Go to service menu and test the bloody rear camera, do you see any green tint? No! Only when you use the camera in camera mode will the green tint appear.
