@pt020

Ds 970/Ds980 have play/pause ff/rw and phone book controls.Sq means sound quality.So buying a high quality headphones is no useful for a mobile phone? right.As Sound quality it makes no difference?

so if you ask if the Sq of the bose ..is it better then the original? what do you think?
with the bluetooth receiver you get the HPM-70 headphones,they are better then the p1i originals but not so good as MDR-EX71sl,the bose is different class.
the bluetooth Sq? = volume is the same ... but i think it looses some high tons,the problem is that i can not try this headset on a good player cos the p1i player you already know what i think about.and other players that i have do not have stereo bluetooth.
and you can only play stop/pause .
volume up down
calls answer
.....
no next or back .... no fast fw no fast bw
the display is so small that you feel blind

Wrong ! it makes a big difference.... good headphones make the best of bad player ... it would be the other way around if you had great player with bad headphones... i did not buy this headphoines for the p1i ... had them with my W800i and there was the sound much better!,the sonic Q of the P1i is just basic

Music sounds great to me through standard headphones, sounds great with audio adapter and linked to my car 11 speaker HK music system, and even pretty good though the 16 channel sound desk and huge speakers at my church! LOL

You can't expect any mobile phone camera to be fantastic due to the tiny lenses they put in... but then again - it is there in your pocket wherever you are - I would like a bigger higher quality lense I think - but there is only so much you can squeeze into a package this size

I am just stunned and amazed by mine so far after about a month of ownership... love it, love it love it! - Well done sony ericsson

Well lads I went on a little trip over the weekend took my p1 and my standard camera, didnt use the camera once.

The p1 did its job took a lot of pictures, all of which while the quality was not great for the shots i wanted was more then enough and as far as the music player goes it did it's job and keep 14 people happy all done through the standard phone speaker.

In my opinion i will be confident to go out taking only the phone with me as my all in one media device.
But then again I know what to expect from it, because i know what my phone is a phone first and media device second.

Only think i would love is an improved video quality but never mind.

I spoke to O2 asking 'what I have to do to resolve the green tint problem'? They advised that if it did not get fixed after three repairs then they would have to get an engineers report before they would change it.

I know this is rubbish and if I wanted to push it, I could get it changed via my 12 months warranty. As we do not know if it is a firmware or a hardware issue I was not going to pursue it.

Unfortunately my P1 has stopped charging via the mains. I have now returned it to get it repaired for this and I have also put it in for a second attempt at getting the tint fixed.

I will let you know the outcome.

Anyway to all new readers to this considering to bring your phone for 'repair' due to green tint I advise you guys don't , they will consider it software fault and will just update your software. It is very rare they will actually exchange your camera part for a new module.

I assume it's the R9J005 firmware you updated to?

Wonder if a new update is in the making... Phone is stable enough for me at this time but always nice to have improvements on speed or camera for example

@pt020

Are those pictures taken at the same time of the day, and under the same conditions e.g. lighting, position etc...

Because the before seems far too dark and has a lot of noise. The second seems like a nice clean shot during the middle of the day compared to what i can only assume is a night time shot with the first picture.

If the two pictures do not share the same conditions e.g. lighting, time of day etc then it is not a very fair comparison.
If however you have tried to make the two conditions as similar as possible and these were the results then i can only assume yopu must be over the moon because the first picture looks awful

i did made it in the same room,both A4 white page about the same time,it is always gray here in Holland so light was poor in both .... but even then when i made the first pictures i had some lighter ones and on those i had a green tint too,did try few settings and when on cloudy mode it was/is the worst,funny on cloudy mode my W800i made the best pictures.....must have a day with some sun to make normal pictures.
about the update version.... hmmm i do not have an idea,went to the site of SE and used their update service,it was last night so i think it was the latest.

@pt020,

On the home screen, tick "meer", then tick "status", scroll down and let us know your firmware version please...
Do you have a Dutch phone or a World Generic version.

Half of Holland is waiting for the new firmware, so everyone is interested to learn if you are the first to have it
