I mean... I've read lot of people are buying the new S500 / W580 / P1

Both W580 and S500 has entered the UK best-selling list, and I guess they're selling quite a few across Europe

And this month T650 will be released, and many can't wait to buy it

And of course, other phones like K800/K810, W880, W610, K550 are still selling good.

So, my question is... don't you think is doing great right now? My prediction is that it'll increase even more it marketshare in 3Q - 2007 and maybe overtake Motorola

And don't forget W910, K850, W960, Z750 are still to come

They have announced great things.

Now we have to wait and see if they can walk the walk.

There not there yet

SE's future plans are looking good but on the other hand they are messing things up for the true fans.
the rise we'll see in their computing portofolio will be very good and exciting.
SE is also launching more acc incl those BT watches, which is vind a very good idea.
In terms of phones they still have the same problem, limited number of clamshells and to late on the market, and ofcourse limited number of UIQ phones. (i'm not a clamshell fan at all)

the thing they we'll hurt the fans with is the new keyboard layout. its nokia style. on basic phones i can except it aslong as they have the grid menu interface (not 1 by 1 like on the J110/120). But on high end phones they should keep to their normal UI, nokia's UI is not as user friendly, and it doesn't remind us of the past SE's, ericssons or sony's.

And SE should put AF on all their phones above a surtain price, no mather what branding they have.
their are also some other things they should do but that info i'm keeping for SE's representative when he finally comes to my store, other wize i'm sure samsung will steal another idea of me.
Nothing can beat the old Ericsson phones.

Hi all,

No surprise here but i most certainly don't all that glitters is not gold, great looking devices but that's where it starts and ends unfortunately. That really isn't enough in this day and age, we should expect and deserve more from our devcies IMO.

hmmmm.. .. the main Se platform is stronger then it's competitiors IMO...

smartphone products might be behind in tech... but se's dumbphone tech is solid.

The only phone that looks good to me from them now is the P1 the rest just look the same old same old. The P1 is the smallest and best featured and best looking smartphone they have done but i dont want it cos its always full of bugs. The new Cybershot phone looks awful dont like those navi keys. Staying with Nokia sorry cos every Nokia is different and everyone i have owned past year or so has had no problems. Will not ever go back to SE.

I think is doing ok. Better than before, but not as good as they could be doing.

I was never a fan of their new designs, but I have to say, they are very Zen & they do stand out. I really miss the Scandinavian designs of but we all have to move on.

I feel is doing it's best to gain a strong low-end market share... something never really cared about, and something Sony could never do.

has very good branding... they've managed to be very separate from and Sony. Now... if only they SUPPLY enough handsets to meet their demand!!! (This from someone who was gonna buy 2 silver W880s, but not a single shop had it in stock... only gray market units w/ no warranty were available)

SE's announcement this year is excellent, and uncomparable with last years one. SE sales remains stable and improving, with SE's serious marketing, i'm sure more people would get an SE thus providing more profits for R&D and Marketing of the company

even though K850 was announced late, it'll surely be a best seller

though i'm expecting the T650 to reincarnate the legendary T610's unit sales

UI is just awesome! Their phones are stylish and attractive, well designed, great cameras, great as music devices, great for mobile TV, fully featured, great value for money, heaps of amazing accessories, easiest to make themes for, heaps of free downloadable content, MyPhoneExplorer is a big plus... I guess its the whole ownership experience.

Well the SE UI is the biggest drawcard of SE phones, and it's surprising how well it holds up against Nokia's S60 phones at similar prices. It's very consumer friendly (attractive, stable, fast, easy to use) and very powerful in terms of being a non-smartphone OS.

They're riding the market wave of attractive phones at the moment.

In terms of sales, yes they're doing great. But everything else is still lukewarm.
