you need to twist your thumb all the way in to reach the * key. The hash key is slightly more reachable...

It's quite comfortably done on the M600 - I've been using it this way since November and my thumbs are no different to yours, I'll wager...

mmmm probably cause i've got the fingers of an old lady... Seriously, i can hardly twist my thumb enough to reach the * key... i'll need surgery in order to make proper use of a phone !

Definately the W960i for me. 8Gig + Wifi + 3.2Mp cam + WCDMA 2100 + big screen... I can do without Autofocus and flash ( I am already 'cause my V630i has neither) and the fancy keyboard and business features I have never experienced or needed. I just hope it's not over NZ$1000...

Can someone explain the tri-band vs. quad band GSM difference? I'm in teh States and have a p990i with blackberry connect. Could i use the p1 or the w960i in the states with blackberry connect? I would like to eventually upgrade my p990 to something slightly smaller and hopefully a little faster and less buggy when it comes to running applications. Seeing how I rarely use the keyboard on the p990 anyway and usually only use the stylus for handwriting, the w960 looks very appealing to me, that is if I could use it in the States. Thanks in advance.

On the Specifications page it didn't mention A/F or flash but here it mentions A/F but no flash:

@carkitter

jimster actually has the phone, he works for his phone does indeed have a flash, 2 led lights. It can be used in video recording and for taking pictures. So, to all still confused, w960i has AF and a flash

i think the only difference between the 2 phones then is....
p1 has a qwerty keypad and w960 has the walkman features+8gb
think tats the major difference, rest all is same leaving apart looks??

i dont want others to be put off buying the phone they like most because they think it doesnt have certain features. when really it does indeed have what they want.

I had previously chosen the W950i over P990i because of the beautiful form factor of the W950i; even without a camera!!! I am a happy user of it. Now with W960, I believe I will be happier... definitely choice for me over the P1...

the P1 is for a serious person who doesn't wanted to have a phone compromised of all needed smartphone functions. W960 is for the young people and also young at heart and for those who wants something extraordinary in their pocket
