Hi! I just signed up after riding these forums thru my wapphone 4 a long time!I have a wapsite at www.wapjag.com and i can't do graphics:( The site provides some but it's all crap and i can't upload pics cuz the quality of their translation sucks(from jpeg to wml ..something).i wanna know if u know some free program to design a nice logo 4 my site and a way to put some pics on my wapsite without uploading them from wapjag!thanks! |

I know this might look stupid, but i have to post this again and i don't wanna make another thread, just to refresh this one:)
I still can't find a program to design a simple logo fr a wap site and i can't believe that among this thousands ppl visiting this site there is nobody knowing how to do that or having a program to do it:(.. |

U can only have black n white pics-use microsoft paint to draw logos-that simple enough

Thanks orangeman!!I thought nobody had really any ideeea! Well, i am not sure but i guess u gotta draw it with a WML tool! I mean, if u draw it with that Micros tool, will the wml script recognise it? I am not sure that it doesn't and i REALLY wonder HOW do they design all those site logos!!!I mean when i surf a site and open it u find that logo! I couln't get no1 that owns a site like this to tell how they did it! do u know any1 u can ask?Thank u anyway orangeman!Any1 else?:)

Photoshop 7 has wbmp support... On the save for web option then just upload to wapjag. Hope this helps.

If u dram a black n white pic and save it as a jpeg or gif does wapjag not convert it to the right file type? Check tagtag.com they are easier 2use than wapjag..in my opinion anyway

Tagtag converts pics to right pic even if its a colour one

wbmp format sucks. it only supports 2 colors and the plugin for paint shop pro is stupid. Try using gif format as it is the smallest in byte size, so it costs less. Also my phone doesnt save any pictures larger than 600 bytes, so I must use gif. by the way, what is your phone? |

wait, another thing...for all you old timers (like me) that still use non colored, 4-shades-of-grey display (like me), here are numbers of colors, that my t200 recognises in a certain way:
The colors (red:green:blue) :
0:0:0 to 42:42:42 black
43:43:43 to 127:127:127 dark grey
128:128:128 to 212:212:212 light grey
213:213:213 to 255:255:255 no color
that are my testing results for greys. |

I've had all kinds of phones but what i liked the best was an alcatel 701 (wap 1.2.1) and after this an ericsson r320s (sucks big time) - now a motorola (another stone-age maker lol) . well, i'm still gonna try the wbpm o photoshop 7. The prob is that tagtag is more complicated and i've discovered it long after signing up and making my site:) So, now , i'll try and design these little logos in Photoshop and if i can't make it,, maybe u can help:)Thanks 4 ur answer:)

@ Orangeman: yes, wapjag converts them into wbmp but the shades are awful!That#s why i didn't want to convert and put pics on my site!Cuz they r UGLY!:) So, i thought some nice logos would do it but i gotta design them and i am not good at photoshop:) Anyway, designing them it's easier and nicer than converting pics at wapjag!lol
