When the time comes to replace my beloved W810, it'll have to be with one of these two - or maybe a Nokia 5700 - for their quad-band + EDGE connectivity.

The W610 has nicer looks IMO, the more preferable (to me) bar design, and an AF camera

The W580 has the more usable keypad, the potentially cool slider design, and a nicer display.

Tough choice

You know, I was in exactly the same dilemma. I want to improve my W700 and those were my 2 choices

After reading reviews and asking people, I've decided to go for W610, mainly because I need an average camera and flash is quite useful sometimes. The design is great, is very light and thin, and has new things like Walkman 2.0, Track ID and so.

So my choice would be W610

If i decide to change my w810, IŽll go for the w610, even tho the upgrades are not that significant. Stereo bluetooth and walkman 2.0, thats all i see, one thing i donŽt like is the m2 in w610, wich is still a little expensive, in the other hand, the pro duo is cheap even the 4 and 8 gb, wich the w810 fully supports.

i think you should keep your 810 as the upgrades arent enough yet. the 810 has a better camera(same megapixels but the lens is bigger, w810's 4.8mm over w610's 3.8mm). imo, you should wait for a real upgrade.

I agree. The W810 is fantastic and I plan to keep it as long as possible. The W610 doesn't have enough going for it to make me upgrade anytime soon.

My post was hypothetical - should something happen to my W810, is the W610 or W580 the better replacement?

well, for me, the 610 is the best replacement. you'll have a decent camera and enough internal memory
