OK, I've got some ideas (a little late maybe :S).
After releasing the winners, it'd be pretty cool to see the number of votes for each category - and each (top voted) nominees.
But what would really add some fun would be to rank certain awards higher than others; especially the 'Most Loved Member'. That could be a 'golden award' which could have its top 5 nominees released one or two days before the actual announcement to the forum. Then other members could build up some excitement about the nominess, talk about who's most likely to win out of the top 5, and then you announce the winner after a few days.
So maybe the gold awards could be:
- Most Loved Member
- Best Thread
- Funniest Member
and the rest are silver awards.

Looks like i can't be there for opening night, im going away camping on that day grrrrr.
Hopefully the voting will still be open on monday i'll have mobile coverage in london then.....
I hope i can be there for the awards night...........
EDIT: i plan and at this stage to go to london on sunday arvo, so i have an action packed weekend camping than a plane trip. However that may change, due to some "health issues" so perhaps ill be there.
