i would be really interested, how your one looks and how do u organise your menu, according the endless variations of the os
i dont like active standby, i rather prefer the shortcuts by joy or joypad. my standard shorcuts are since ages
up - media player
down - calendar
right - contacts
left - messaging
selection key is inactive
( have to admit, i got used to right - contacts since /// )

My shortcuts
Down for contacts,
Left for messages,
Right for gallery,
Up for radio/browser.

I have the standby screen but when I use the nav pad.
It's usually
Up bluetooth
right media player
left messages (or anything)
down Contacts.
The reason why down is contacts is because once you press it it starts from the top of the messages right? This way I just have to keep tapping down down down

@jn with a very simple application, it works in every symbian fones
