There was a dude on a forum complaining that the phone doesn't display neither clock nor missed calls / unread SMS with a keypad locked. Is it true you can't see this?
And I also repeat my question about the camera lens: Do you think it's scratch-prone?
Thank you for a reply.

If you press the volume button... while in standby mode you will get the time and it will also tell you if you have a miss call or text message etc...

Not sure about the camera lens...

Hope this helps
Cheers

I'd buy the phone either way I guess but, you know, I just wanna know as much as possible before actually spending my hard-earned money. And there is nothing better on the actual market for me than T650i.
Thanks, man!

you´re welcome. But can you perhaps tell me if your t650i is also beeping like i discribed in my text three comments above. That would help me too. Thanks in advance.

I've listened to the speaker and earpiece with it right by my ear while unlocking the keys and can hear nothing except maybe a faint high pitch noise. Almost nothing tho.

Thats what i´m hearing, too. But I had this strage noise in no other SE-mobile so far. So i thought something may be wrong.
But when you also hear something it might be all right.
Thanks for testing.

Places I've seen in the UK that sell green and blue have the green at a slightly higher price (I think it was about 10GBP more). I hope the black isn't going ot more expensive too. I really REALLY want the black one.

It can be a firmware issue .. its not a big deal .. but they should repport it to Sony Ericsson to fix it as soon as possible, i noticed few bugs but they are already repported to Sony Ericsson!

Surely the lack of time/events display while the phone isn't in use is so the screen can be powered off to save battery? As someone already mentioned, these things can be seen without having to unlock the keypad by simply pressing either of the volume keys.

It's like this on the w610 too and i guess there must be other current handsets that act the same.

The K750i does exactly that (Settings->Display->Sleep Mode Clock). Just tried searching for that function on SE's T650 "Try The Phone". No 'Sleep Mode Clock' function there. Maybe its just not on this particular model. IMO no harm done. Just press one of the volume keys. Saves battery too

Hello,

sorry, could not read all 64 sites of this discussion because its too much already. But here´s my t650i-story.
I ordered the t650i two times from an online shop.
The first mobile had an inclined display. So i send it back. The second one has a wobbly navi-pad but the display was all right, so i kept it. And what i also reconized was, that both mobiles have got a quite beep tone when you unlock the keylock and the display lights up. You can hear it when you hold it directly next to your ear.
Does anybody have the same strange noise or knows why its beeping quitly? Perhaps because of the LED illumination... Or its damaged in some way???
Please, write down your experience with beeping and wobbling....

Sorry if my english isn´t that perfect.

Greetings

Jordi

Hi Jordi,

I've been using my Blue T650i for a week and I've not experience the deep sound when unlocking the keypad. It's rather strange that some units have this sympton.
