Hello,

I just installed a car kit (IHF1000) in my new car. Unfortunately my phone T39m doesn't seam to pair correctly with the IHF1000.
According to this site, I have the latest firmware on the phone R4a008.
I don’t know however if handsfree-kit has the latest.

My troubleshooting:
IHF user manual: compliance with BT hands-free 0.96 and 1.0 profiles
è Does anybody know if the T39m supports this? What version does it have?

As you can see I’m not really following the latest technologies with my T39m, but I’m just hooked to the phone J

Anybody experienced similar problems / any solution available? I hope somebody has some tips/hints…..

Thanks

Forgot to mention: The car kit works fine with my girlfriends Z520i. Meaning, I’m sure that I use correct pairing method etc… (Not that it’s so hard)

Thanks Bobafett for the help you're offering. I hope we and other Esato users have an idea.

Question:
* Indeed in the owners manual from T39m there is mentioned that is has "BT specification 1.0 b", equal to 1.1 (but at that time that spec. was not formally/officially available)
* However the IHF needs BT handsfree "profile" 0.96 or 1.0.
=> Is it correct to compare the "BT spec" with the handsfree "profile"?
I believe those are 2 seperate things. Possibly the phone has BT spec 1.0

but does not have the correct and corresponding handsfree "profile"

NOTE:
Today I tried my car kit again with an other T39m (same Firmware version) this phone had exactly the same problem as mine.

I can imagine what you feel: I also still use a T39, it's simply the best phone ever

according to your problem I suggest you try any other phone to pair so you can find out if it's the phone's fault or not. Maybe you did a mistake by installing, the probability is given.

The installation is correct (piece of cake). I tried the car kit with Z520i and it works.
Last week i bought a K750i (red) and it works

I'm now using the K750i, is a nice phone, however doubt if it will last without any trouble (it feels too plastic and fragile for that) for more then 5 years just like my T39 did.

And basically still nothing wrong with the T39m, only doesn't seem to be compatible with the IHF1000....
