Finally the long awaited 8300 Series BlackBerry reportedly seems to be only a few weeks from official release.

Blackberry Curve

A cross between the 8100 Pearl and the 8800, the 8300 sports a full QWERTY Keypad and the most noted difference a 2mp Camera. THere was also talk of WiFi but this is yet to be confirmed.

Whilst BlackBerry has been very business orientated, the release of the more consumer 8100, slightly broke that mould, and surely this 8300 will only strenghten their place.

Its shorter & slightly thinner than the BB Pearl & 8800 Man!

3.5mm Headset Jack
BT 2.0+EDR

A later variation will have WiFi
Another will have WIFI & GPS built in.

Just a little too late for me.
I'll be working there sometime this year so they'll just GIVE me one.

Me I'm on the FENCE HARD this week on buying a
K790a OR HTC S621 or do I wait for the Moto Z8 UIQ3 Phone.

BoTH can be BNIB for a variance of $25-75CAN from one another
BOTH have A2DP with remote support.
T18z|T39m twice loveless| K750|W810| BB Pearl|K790a|K850i|E71|iPhone 3GS user! Waiting for powerful Android.

Yeah very E61 considering Nokia copied RIM on their original E61 to try and compete, but lets not even go there.

And before the " you just hate Nokia" starts, i like the E61 but it isnt Blackberry!

The nokia is a good phone but it doesnt compete on the reason BlackBerry was made.

That is a no brainer.

I dont get it, the bolt on works perfectly well. Whats the difference between a 8700, 7290, and even your 8300 VS E61?

The bolt on? BlackBerry Connect? First of all you dont get all the functions as Blackberry Connect is only the PUSH Service - then you you might as well use web2mail or similar.
Besides that the security of the devices compared to Symbian or Windows Based Phones.

Why an E70?? Ok I think that comes with Blackberry connect so nope, no real differences..

BB allows mail syncing from a server, it works just like microsoft exchange would, but with MS exchange the data is not compressed and with BB it it is compressed to very tiny amounts. Thats why its cheaper and faster.

just get an e90, bb connect is just as good as blackberry in my opinion. I have a pearl, p990 with bb connect and an e61i, and email wise I really don't see a difference.
