Right, i've now Removed the Spare silver 8800 housing, sirocco leather pouch and sirocco batteries from the sale. So what you see in the pictures is what you get.
Here i'm selling a Black Nokia 8800
I fitted the new black cover today 30/04/07 so it's brand new, but when I fitted it the backlight stopped working. An easy fix, i'm guessing I left something disconnected, but I just don't have the time or patience. Apart from the light, everything else works 100%

from my experience id say that your screen ribbon is fecked aka you need a new screen/slider inc ribbon

I've fixed a few 8800's before, all the same way, by changing the orange ribbon inside connecting the motherboard to the back plastic part of the housing.
I had an 8800 which the backlight didn't work, earpiece didn't work (speakerphone was fine), it wouldn't charge and it showed it was in "hands free/car mode". All were fixed in one go by changing this ribbon. It's about £10 on eBay.
I assumed this was the fault, as I didn't remove the screen or the ribbon behind it when changing the housing, only the one I mentioned above, to take off the motherboard.
I can sell the silver housing separately if you want however there are signs of wear on it (scratches etc.) So it will be relatively cheap.
If anyone has a new black sirocco for sale i'll offer this package plus £150.

Just to confirm does it all work 100% apart from the light problem.
All buttons etc, as you changed the housing? Do they work perfectly.
PM or Text me your best price for this including that little bit we need to sort out.
Edit: IS IT A GENUINE COVER? Not a cheap one?

Ok, The only fault with this phone is the back light.
I can hear out of the speaker, take videos with sound, make recieve calls, charge the phone and turn it on/off. So i'm guessing everything works (both speakers/camera/mic/it's not barred)!
@Merc_man - I originally bought the phone off you and used it as my main phone for about 6 months. The cover was bought off cnn.cn and it said on the site "OEM original Black 8800 housing". To settle our debt just pay £125 instead of £105 to make it even.
@Fatreg - I'll need more than £50 and a 6310i mate, I know 6310i's fetch a premium when new, but for that much i'd be better off buying a battered one to refurb.
@Zootzoot - Regarding your PM, it's not fully working, the backlight doesn't work so i'm selling it as faulty. However apart from this there are no faults.

I have ordered a brand new OEM screen and OEM Gunmetal "Special Edition" housing, and the ribbon off cnn.cn at a price of about $250+ (inc shipping). If you would like I can include these in the sale for an additional price.
