A Swiss company is selling watches which are partially built from authentic parts of the Titanic, which sank in 1912. The price on these suckers range from $7,800 to $173,100, and 2,012 watches are planned for production.

being the sceptic that I am... immediately the word "partially" gets my attention and starts a negative thought process against this such that I look for more info about the real content versus the "advertising for profit" value of this this item

yup...don't see why anyone would actually want one of these...would much rather go down to argos and pay 20quid for a watch! Not $8000! [addsig]

I believe it costs upwards of £100,000 to dive down to the titanic, so no thanks!

ummm... in almost every realm of reality you cannot lend or borrow skills such as this so, unfortunately, is not a possability, especially when I have over 200 dives now from basic fresh water to intensive 45m + dives and and also dry suit dives to my credit :-0

it's in the sea at the bottom, surely theres not a ticket machine on it?
