BACK button will be no longer there! Starting with Z750i and the next Cybershot phones.

What a crap!

where did you get this info from? don't think that would be true, although certain operator branded models replace the back keys with a call hang up button, like o2. so don't think so, mate. think that the phone in the picture might be an operator branded one?

No. The pictures on the SE website have the same 'new' key format. As do the leaked pictures of the k850i.

The center and left keys are now select and 'more' respectively while the right soft key usually becomes 'back'.

In fact, if the leaked pics of the k850i anre anything to go by, the k850i doesn't even have a center tap key... it has 3 softkeys.

Because the new UI is so well thought that you don't need to go back?

crap, if they play with the interface I'm gonna be real pissed. It's one of the main reasons I prefer SE. If they start trying to copy Nokia interface I'll really hurl.

Mmmm... well, maybe they decided to pay attention to what some moron in gsmarena said in his preview of the K810: "The user interface in K810 is a standard non-smartphone Sony Ericsson user interface. Honestly we've slowly becoming fed up with the user interface - it's been around for 2 years now that they haven't changed it a bit."

And I'd like to ask him: Why is that? Do othe manufactures change it everytime they release a new phone???? ... Of course not!!

So I hope doesn't do anything radical based on that kind of comments. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and the way it is now, it's just great.

this key has simplified my usage since my days back with my t630. Now i thought that the C key could be used as the back key as in the motos.

Hmm... But a potential problem with having a C key as the Back button as well as the Cancel key is that you might not know if pressing it is gonna go back or delete something. At least that's what I encountered when I was using Moto.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Perhaps if we all email SE with the message

BRING BACK THE BACK

then they will notice us, then if they ask we we mean we tell them, then we overload them with emails saying BRING BACK THE BACK.

LOL
