i managed to update my k800 firmware with SE update service(to R1JG001) then i'm experiencing this problem latley which i'm sure it didn't exist at least befor update...
at home and all places with good network coverage there is no problem, but in areas with weeker coverage,it's impossible to use the phone, signal bar is full but instead of operator name it says : No asccess to network...when i try to make a call, i hear a beep thrice and the call hangs up.not only calls but also i'm not able to send a message, sending fails..just as same as a place with no coverage, but people around handle calls.
IT IS REALLY ANNOYING,PLEASE PLEASE HELP IF THERE IS A SOLUTION.
ANY REPLIES WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED,THANKS PEOPLE
i'm really looking forward to seeing replies...........

se fones have real time aerilas, way more sensitive as the average, so imo there isnt much to do. nokia are using boosters, so their reception is far better

You can downgrade it using something like Wotan but it will cost for a credit - but they're only 7 euros, maybe give that a try? works with the standard DCU-60 cable.

really thanks........then i'm not that interested in downgrading my phone though because clearly it cannot be done under standard procedures and could be damageful, nah?,plus i like new functionality due to updated firmware,it makes the phone more pleasant to use....
but my question is that if the phone doesn't recieve a signal nor could connect to network, then why are signal bars full?????
and,if there is no coverage at all, then why doesn't it say : No network coverage????instead of No access to network, what is that mean no access to network??????

yeah, but if a newer fw cause such crap recpetion in his area, but nobody else complained yet, it has to do sg with the operator and not with the fw actaully imo

yes, cos its a third party solution, so your warranty is over after such an action

Oh yes, just noticed your location! Can you get a Paypal account, as that's how you pay for credits on Wotan and Davinci. Paypal accounts can be linked to your bank account

Sorry to hear that, not sure if you can use Paypal with Iranian banks, Given the current political climate possibly not Might be worth starting a separate thread on it, see if anyone else knows a bit more than me.
Is there somewhere local you could get it flashed/fixed, or service centre you could take it to?
