Yeah - nice one! Cynic that I am my first reaction was, "but it's a windows phone... Can't I ever win something good?" terrible me, and f*ck: it is one nice piece of toy (I only new it from pics where it looks like a big 70s-scifi-plastic-gimmick. It's amazingly small for the punch it packs, and though it IS all plastic, it feels heaps sturdier than both my e61 and n91). It comes with a shell add on that allows for windows dragging etcetc... It took 30 secs to process the 2 gb minidisc from my e61 (that is somee 300 songs and 500mb video...no joke, 30 secs)! The bad: currently no opera mini! Not impressed by mozillas minimo browser. So: anyone here know some good stuff about it? Software, tips, shortcuts etc??? I also heard there'll be a free upgrade to windows mobile6 - any details? Now I'll play some more! Of course, e61 still rules - and yeahyeah, so does SE... [addsig]

maggflodd,
first thing you wanna do is find a jvm - java virtual machine - installl that on your treo, and the world of java midlets incl. operamini is yours. I'm currently on wap, but just google "jvm for treo 750" should be easy to find. is the screen size an issue? read good reviews, but some moaning about screen.....

Thanks oneofthose - will try when I'm back in the civilisation on thursday! Screen is not the crispest, but perfectly visible in bright sunlight where I'm sitting now!!! Stlill quite impressed - incredible battery-life, and amazingly well to use one-handedly for a touch-screen phone. Only concern: mrs maggflodd loves it!
thanks,
keep the stuff coming! [addsig]

thanks for the interest - yeah, it's my first windows mobile, and though it's very well designed and ui very good I guess I have a bit to learn which is always intyeresting!!! Opera 8.65 currently not available for treo 750 - I got 8.2 I think - lacks features, plus for quick browsing I prefer mini (also, I'm not on contract - hate those nosey companies so operamini is about 5 times cheaper for me to run ). I installed minmo, but that seems very "beta"-ish!!!
So what'd be you 5 top apps? Fun and work??? [addsig]

maggflodd, register with everythingtreo.com - though the tone there's a bit corporate, they might be more helpful! you can try'n'buy software as well!

Know any keypad-shortcuts? The thing's got a pretty nifty ui - so I can't believe there aren't some shortcuts for the internet explore for example (togglle full-screen, "back", "forward" etc... Dito media player etc etc...it's so well designed for one-handed use after all)??? Come on, I know there are some treo-owners here!!! Be good... [addsig]

that's me out of the equation again.

i'm only 13 but i am spotty as hell

sleep? simple really. i put my head on my pillow et voila.

but fatregs only need small amounts of sleep so it's all good.

Found a great windows mobile app on handango: sbsh "ilauncher" - organises the today screen, screen capture, real closing-x-button etc etc and it's free!!!! And after 8 days... Would I buy a treo 750v? Well, I'll keep the one I won, but here at least it currently costs nearly as much as 2 e61's!!! But the speed is amazing, the feel of built-quality etc etc etc... Knock a third of current price, include a java machine, improve mediaplayer and it's a must-buy! And btw., how did they get a 1.3mp camera to take better pix than my k750i??? (that,s not just my opinion; a number of reviewers pointed out the surprising photo-quality - any tech-reply? [addsig]
