hey, wen i downloaded track id for my p990 a few days ago, it was working fine, but for the last few days it just gives me an erroe, something like scareface's error to do with proxy i guess.... any idea how i can fix this??

From the application itself 
Java application just provide a front end to connect to that server.
Its a bit unstable tho,works for me now and then..

Couple of tips that might help,
Make sure you recording is not too long (preferably between 5-15seconds).
Always click the first recognize button in the page,one just below the browse/select file...

@shyam, you're right, I tried again with an English track this time, and it works on my PC. Still no luck with my phone though. It shows an error message saying "No music clip received. Please try again." Still, I think it's great you managed to find the site in the first place. Thanks!

But it works fine for me in my mozilla firefox.

Its a great app i have it built in to my W710i and its great for when listening to the radio and you want to know what the song is that's playing. It even lets you record from the phones built in radio. :]

must it be from FM radio? can i use loudspeaker from my phone and record it with another phone and use trackID to find the songs name? |

the sound can be from anywhere, u just need to record it on ur phone.... and use track id... simple if it works, but right now i cant get it to wwork, some proxy error............ anyone knows how to fix it?

it will recognize other songs too, apart from english, asian and other languages also, though it might not return with the details every time.....
