Hey guys if you thought only smart phones could do this think again
Step one download and install the software below which supports file supports : .TXT, .PDF, .ARJ, .HA, .HTML, .HLP, .XLS, .PPT, .DOC, .PDB, .PRC, .RAR, .RTF, .WPD, .ZIP formats.
Tequila Cat Book Reader: http://www.zshare.net/download/tcbr-2-2-8-rar.html
Installation :
- Extract the .RAR file
- After downloading the tcbr software above, download gettext.zip found here http://www.zshare.net/download/gettext-zip.html
- Download gettext.zip and extract to PLUGINS folder, replacing all files.
- Now you can freely convert your ebooks with shell.exe application found in tcbr.
NOW open the shell.exe application to convert your phone and make sure you choose the correct phone model, further settings can be changed in clicking on the help button.
- click add book or open and load your book into the software, large books will take a while to load
- click the build button after the book has loaded
- look and see where the program stored the newly converted jar file for the book (usually in MY DOCUMENTS in the case of Windows OS)
- go to the file and send it to your phone and drop it in the other folder.
- install the ebook you want to read to the applications folder
- Allow the application to read user data
- Select JAR Books/
- Then Select the book
- Every book you convert will become a .jar standalone, which means that you can send it right away to your friend's phone (same type / equivalent with yours), and he/she can read them without having to install any additional application.
After installing your book touch zero when you are viewing the book to go to the menu system of tcbr.
Go to Settings scroll options and uncheck show incomplete line if you want
scroll by page, if you desire scrolling by line etc. settings will tell you how its done.
To increase FONT SIZE select # while just reading the book, you dont need to go into the menu system of the program just touch # when viewing the book.
To change your backlight options select * when reading the book the options are default (the backlight goes off after 30 seconds of not scrolling, ON and OFF.
I will put in screenshots but im pressed for time and have two projects to work on; I will do it soon. Any questions ill answer, please remember I am not perfect and if I made a mistake its natural and ill try and solve mistakes ASAP.
MANY THANKS TO LIVEDEVIL and SHIZAK FOR INTRODUCING THIS TO ME

Glad you like it guys. I spend hours now reading ebooks and people are like you are going to ruin your eyes etc. on the screen...lol
Yes and excel file can be converted BUT you will not see the gridlines and its hard to view the material it would have to be an excel file with few columns for it to be viewed easily. I have tried.
Oh ive also found out that once you send the .jar file regardless of the phone its sent to the book can be read well on that person's screen. So no you dont have to send it to a phone that's the same as yours.
Support is coming for the program to support image viewing in books as well as lines.
Edit: Go to Settings font and use phone colours to adjust to the bakground and font of your theme, this is useful as sometimes the glare from the white font or white background causes tension for your eyes.
Tested an proved by me so far on: Motorola V3, V600, W800i, K750i and W900i

Hi everybody. There is now midlet on Java which open any *.doc or *.xls file without any bookreaders and plugins. Just put this file to memory card as is (in Microsoft office format not txt) and view it by this midlet. The pics in Word documents are viewable too. File size limit is about 300 kb. Tested on SE W850, K800, W710. 100% workable. I won't upload it here or give the link on it here. Send me PM and i'll send you a link with one condition - you will apply it ONLY for private usage. The midlet is available in English now.

search for "read maniac" i think its better. you just install the reader once then put txt, html, etc. files to your others folder and you can browse it with your midlet. works great if you can disable java security prompts on your phone. |
