I just had a look at the call timers. They have never been reset and the phone has never been flashed. I bought it brand new, is this a bug?

Timer from time&cost.

Timer from service menu.

it certainly doesn't look new, does it!?

assuming you bought new from a shop I'd be taking it back and asking questions

I think someone's tried to pass of something like a 14-day return or a refurbished phone as brand new!

If it's a problem, I'd take it back and ask for either a refund or a replacement handset, brand new this time!

i usually check the service menu before i take fone in the shop, out of tradition. of course, total call time can be reset as well... but if u had tons of fones in your hand, certain marks can point if u are misleaded or not.

The K800i's had a bug where the service menu showed more minutes than it should have.

for sure his phone wasn't bought as a brand new phone. i got mine second handed and my total call time in the service menu doubles the counter in the time&cost menu.

I remember when I got my first SE, a Z600, got it new opened the box and switched on, found loads of stored contacts!! Grrrrrrrrr back in box and straight back to shop! gave manager a bollocking, demanded new phone and £20 cash back! all was well

The the phone was a direct delivery from Vodafone is brand-new condition, not a mark on it anywhere! I've the phone since last May and I've only come across this now.

i have a similar problem with my k790i my call times in the settings menu and service menu dont match.

when the phone was brand new both were the same.

but slowly the difference has started increasing. the service menu timers show ed 7-8 hours more compared to the settings menu.

at present the difference has gone upto 25 hours.

im saying all this keeping in mind that the settings menu timers are reset on upgrading the f/w

it is strange but not much of a big deal
