Why would you want to do wap via gsm on globe when gprs wap is still free? Not only is gsm slower, there is a sizeable per minute charge. .. Anyway, if you really want gsm, check out the globe web page. They have settings for gsm wap access there.

Go t68i etc. only gives gprs settings for wap. The question was about wap over gsm. for gsm settings, web site directions still valid.

@semiconductor

in case you are still really interested, here are the complete GSM WAP settings for an ericsson phone from the globe website:

Go to “WAP Services”

Select “WAP Settings”
Select “Profile 1”
Enter the following parameters:

Rename: user specified
Edit Homepage
Title: Globe Telecom
Address: http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.wmlc
Show Images: On
Access Type: GSM Data
Phone number: +639172399
Dial Type: ISDN
User ID: globe
Password: globe
Gateway
Data Address: 192.009.163.034
Go to “WAP Profiles”
Select ”Profile name”

Note: contrary to what some of the other guys have said on this thread, these settings work perfectly for GSM WAP access... just don't use them for GPRS access.

Check your phone if you have GPRS signal. Prepaid usually can connect to GPRS (what is XTM for?)

I have 3 Globe prepaid sims and they are all GPRS activated. Usually Gemplus SIMs dont have GPRS signal. Check the copper side of your SIM.

Better to use GPRS coz its free.

I use WAP/GSM to my other phone Timeport/6210 but you have to disconnect before 1 minute so that you will not be charged.
